Billy Strings is an American guitarist and bluegrass musician who has written and recorded many original songs. Some of his original songs are Turmoil & Tinfoil, Meet Me at the Creek, Taking Water, Away from the Mire, and Watch It Fall.

Billy Strings’ album Home released in 2019, became his most successful release yet, reaching No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums and Bluegrass Albums charts, as well as debuting at No. 11 on the Emerging Artists Chart.

In 2021, Billy Strings joined Bill Kreutzmann’s Billy & the Kids for some shows, along with James Casey (saxophone). As a solo artist, he was part of the Newport Folk Festival in July 2021.
