In 2011, Flume’s track “Possum” received its first radio play on Triple J Unearthed. He submitted three original tracks—”Sleepless,” “Over You,” and “Paper Thin”—to an artists’ competition managed by Future Classic, an Australian record company.
The EP titled “Sleepless” marked Flume’s official debut. Flume’s second studio album, Skin, released in 2016 topped the ARIA Albums Chart and won the Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Flume’s third studio album, Palaces, was released in May 2022. In February 2023, he released his second mixtape, Things Don’t Always Go the Way You Plan and in May 2023, his third mixtape, Arrived Anxious, Left Bored was released.
