Specifically, C418 has acknowledged being heavily inspired by Aphex Twin, particularly drawing from his prepared piano pieces found in the album “Drukqs”. In a delightful twist, some of the Minecraft songs even reference other IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) artists, such as Clark and Mouse on Mars.
