Maluma, the Colombian music sensation, rose to fame due to a combination of talent, hard work, and strategic choices. Maluma discovered his love for music at a young age. He recorded his first songs when he was just sixteen years old.

In 2015, Maluma released his breakthrough album, “Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy.” The album featured hit singles like “Borro Cassette”, “El Perdedor”, and “Sin Contrato”. These songs catapulted him to fame, especially in the reggaeton and Latin trap genres.

Maluma’s songs have been described as reggaeton, Latin trap, and pop. Maluma has won a Latin Grammy Award, an MTV Video Music Award, two Latin American Music Awards, and has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album.

Maluma is one of the best-selling Latin music artists and has sold more than 18 million records (albums and singles). In 2012, Maluma released his first studio album, titled Magia. He has worked with other international artists, such as Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, J Balvin, and The Weeknd.

Maluma’s 2013 single  “La Temperatura”, featuring Puerto Rican singer Eli Palacios reached number seven on the National-Report charts and became his first single to enter the US charts for the Latin audience by Billboard.

Maluma’s collaborations “Chantaje” with Shakira and “Medellín” with Madonna have reached the top of the Hot Latin Songs and the Dance Club Songs chart, respectively.
