If you are a fan of the Persona series, you might be wondering what Persona 3 Reload is and how it differs from the original Persona 3. Persona 3 Reload is a remake of Persona 3 that will be released for the PlayStation 5 and PC in 2024. It is not a simple port or remaster, but a complete overhaul of the game with new graphics, gameplay, story, and features.

The name Persona 3 Reload is inspired by the theme of rebirth and renewal that pervades the game. The protagonist of Persona 3 has the ability to summon a powerful entity called a Persona by shooting himself in the head with a gun-like device called an Evoker. This act symbolizes his willingness to face death and overcome his fears.

In Persona 3 Reload, the Evoker is replaced by a smartphone app that allows the protagonist to access the Dark Hour, a hidden time period where he can fight Shadows, the enemies of the game.

Persona 3 Reload will also be longer than the original Persona 3, as it will include content from both Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable, two enhanced versions of the game that were released for the PlayStation 2 and PSP respectively. Persona 3 FES added an epilogue chapter called The Answer, which explores the aftermath of the main story and reveals more secrets about the Dark Hour and the Shadows.
Persona 3 Portable added the option to play as a female protagonist, who has different social links, dialogue, and events than the male protagonist. Persona 3 Reload will also have new social links, events, personas, dungeons, and endings that were not present in any previous version of the game.
