Neuralink is a company that aims to create a generalized brain interface to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs today and unlock human potential tomorrow. Neuralink’s brain-computer interface is fully implantable, cosmetically invisible, and designed to let you control a computer or mobile device anywhere you go.

Neuralink is currently conducting a clinical trial called the PRIME Study, which involves placing a small implant in a part of the brain that plans movements. The device is designed to interpret a person’s neural activity, so they can operate a computer or smartphone by simply intending to move.

To be eligible for this trial, you need to have limited or no ability to use both hands due to cervical spinal cord injury or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). You also need to be within the United States, at least 18 years old, and able to consent. If you are interested in joining the Patient Registry, you can start your application on the Neuralink website.

The Neuralink implant is powered by a small battery that can be charged wirelessly from the outside via a compact, inductive charger. The battery life of the implant depends on how much you use it and how often you charge it.

According to Neuralink, the battery can last for more than 24 hours with normal use. However, some factors may affect the battery performance, such as temperature, signal strength, and software updates.
