Eliot Feld was born in Brooklyn in 1942, to his parents, Benjamin Noah Feld and Alice Feld.

Eliot Feld defied the odds to become a renowned figure in the dance world. Despite his parents’ professions in law and travel, Feld discovered his love for dance at a young age.
Beginning his journey at 8 years old under the tutelage of Ronne Aul, Feld’s talent quickly flourished. He went on to study at the prestigious School of American Ballet, where he trained in both modern and ballet styles under esteemed teachers.
Feld’s career saw early success as he danced with respected companies and even graced Broadway stages. However, his true passion lay in choreography. In 1969, at just 27 years old, he founded the American Ballet Company, which later evolved into the Eliot Feld Ballet.
