He began his professional career with Athletico Paranaense where he played from 2016 to 2019.

Following his stints with Paranaense, Lodi went on to sign a six-year deal with Spanish club Atlético Madrid on 7th July 2019.

While with Atlético, he was loaned to Nottingham Forest in the 2022-2023 season before joining French club Olympique de Marseille in 2023.
