Shamar Joseph, hailing from Guyana, burst onto the Test cricket scene in January 2024 against Australia.
With his right-arm fast bowling style, he made an immediate impact despite his relatively short career so far. Interestingly, before his cricketing days, Shamar worked as a security guard.

On the other hand, Alzarri Joseph, born in Antigua, boasts a more seasoned career with 32 Tests and 92 wickets to his name. Serving as the vice-captain of the West Indies team, Alzarri brings experience and leadership to the squad.

While both players share the Joseph surname and excel in their roles as right-arm fast bowlers, they do not share a family tree.
Despite the lack of blood relation, the media and teammates often playfully refer to them as namesakes due to the amusing coincidence.
So, while they may not be brothers in arms, Shamar and Alzarri Joseph continue to dazzle fans with their bowling prowess and uphold the proud tradition of West Indies cricket.
