Did Casey Kasem have Alzheimer’s?

Casey Kasem did not have Alzheimer’s disease.

Casey Kasem, the iconic voice of American Top 40, battled with a progressive neurodegenerative disease towards the end of his life called Lewy body dementia which has similar symptoms to Alzheimer’s disease.

Casey Kasem had a very declining health in the latter stages of his life and he was hospitalized on a number of occasions prior to his death.

Casey Kasem’s Lewy body dementia affected him very much and led to his memory loss and cognitive decline as well as affecting his ability to carry out daily activities.
