Where was Red West buried?

Red West passed away on July 18th, 2017, at the age of 81, and was laid to rest near Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

His funeral, attended by fellow luminaries of the entertainment world, served as a poignant tribute to a life well-lived—one marked by camaraderie, daring exploits, and a dash of Tinseltown allure.

Red West shared a special bond with Elvis Presley, serving not only as his buddy but also as a Hollywood stunt performer.

Hailing from Tennessee in 1936, Red’s prowess in sports like boxing and football laid the foundation for his future in stunt work.

His tight-knit friendship with Elvis, cultivated since high school, proved crucial. Red became part of Elvis’s inner circle, famously dubbed the “Memphis Mafia,” and even graced the screen alongside the King in movies like “Kid Galahad” and “Viva Las Vegas.”

Following Elvis’s untimely demise, Red delved into acting full-time, leveraging his stunt expertise to land roles in both television and film, such as the renowned series “The Wild, Wild West” and the classic “Road House.” Often cast as tough guys and villains, his imposing stature and quick wit brought authenticity to his characters.
