Roberto Alfonso Farrell, widely recognized as Bobby Farrell, was not only a legendary Aruban dancer and singer but also a devoted father.

He shared the joys of parenthood with his ex-wife, Jasmina Shaban, and together they had two children: Zanillya Farrell and Zanin Farrell.

Zanillya Farrell, born in 1983, inherited her father’s passion for music and pursued a career as a rapper. Her talent and dedication to her craft were acknowledged in December 2011 when she achieved the remarkable feat of winning the national music prize Grote Prijs van Nederland in the hip-hop category.

Zanillya’s accomplishments served as a testament to the musical legacy passed down from her iconic father. In addition to Zanillya, Bobby Farrell and Jasmina Shaban welcomed a son named Zanin, completing their family unit.

The Farrell family shared moments of joy, growth, and undoubtedly a deep connection nurtured by their shared experiences.

Tragically, Bobby Farrell’s journey came to an abrupt end on the morning of December 30, 2010, when he succumbed to heart failure in a hotel room in St. Petersburg, Russia.

His passing left a void in the hearts of his children and fans alike. In remembrance, he was laid to rest at Zorgvlied cemetery in Amsterdam, where his legacy as a musical pioneer lives on through the continued success of his children, particularly in the case of Zanillya, who has made her mark in the world of hip-hop.
