Sammy Davis Jr. starred in many movies throughout his career, including “Anna Lucasta” (1958), “Ocean’s Eleven” (1960), “Robin and the 7 Hoods” (1964), and “A Man Called Adam” (1966).

Sammy Davis Jr. was born on December 8, 1925, and began his career in Vaudeville with his father Sammy Davis Sr., and the Will Mastin Trio at the age of three. He appeared in the movie “Tap” in 1989, when he was 63 years old.

Sammy Davis Jr was awarded the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for his television performances. His biggest hit, “The Candy Man”, reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in June 1972.
