He appeared in series like “Twelve O’Clock High,” “Gunsmoke,” and “Cheers.” His portrayal of Sheriff Jimmy Brock in CBS’s “Picket Fences” earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 1993, showcasing his ability to excel in both mediums.
Skerritt’s career continued to evolve with roles in modern series like “Leverage” and appearances in miniseries such as ABC Family’s “Fallen.” Beyond acting, he showcased his entrepreneurial spirit by founding Heyou Media, a digital media company based in Seattle, reflecting his adaptability and engagement with emerging technologies.
