Katie Lee’s parents: Meet Kim Becker & Steve Lee

Katie’s father’s name is Steve Lee and her mother’s name is Kim Becker. Hence, she belongs to Asian ancestry. Katie Lee was born on September 14, 1981, in Huntington, West Virginia. She started cooking at age 4 with her grandma. She was raised in Milton, West Virginia.

Lee used to follow her grandma to pick vegetables from her grandpa’s farm. The first food she made herself was biscuits with her grandma. Lee studied journalism and food science at Miami University, in Oxford Ohio. Likewise, she graduated in 2003.

Lee first started her career working in several restaurants and wine stores. Later in 2003, she helped to open Jeff and Eddy’s restaurant where she worked as a house fishmonger.
