Giada De Laurentiis was married to her husband, Todd Thompson, for 11 years. The couple separated in July 2014, just one month after De Laurentiis opened her very first restaurant, GIADA, and their divorce was finalized in 2015.

Todd Thompson is an American fashion designer. He and Giada met when she was an anthropology major at UCLA and he was already well into his career as a fashion designer.

They married in May 2003 and have a daughter named Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson, who was born in March 2008. Giada De Laurentiis is an Italian American chef, entrepreneur, writer, and television personality.

Giada De Laurentiis ventured into food styling and caught the attention of the Food Network after styling a feature in Food & Wine magazine in 2002. Laurentiis was named the godmother of the Oceania Cruises’ ship Vista.

Giada De Laurentiis appeared as a presenter at the inaugural Food Network Awards in 2007. In July 2014, De Laurentiis opened her first restaurant, called GIADA, inside The Cromwell in Las Vegas, Nevada.
