Bobby Flay is best known for his frequent appearances on the cable station Food Network, where he first garnered attention as one of the original competitors on Iron Chef America.

Bobby Flay opened Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP) in Lake Grove, Long Island, on July 15, 2008, at the Smith Haven Mall. In 1991, Bobby Flay opened his first restaurant, Mesa Grill.

In November 1993,  Bobby Flay launched Bolo, a fine-dining Spanish restaurant. In 2014, Bobby Flay opened Gato, a Spanish- and Mediterranean-inflected restaurant to replace Bolo.
