The show was filmed in Iceland, with a reported budget of $60 million. Filming began in November 2022 and wrapped in April 2023. The production crew built a replica Alaskan town from scratch in Iceland, which was a perfect fit for Season 4’s themes and added to the atmosphere.
The first episode of the season aired on January 14, 2024, at 9:00 pm ET on HBO. The season features a six-episode run with an individual release date for each episode.
