A politician, teacher, and athlete from the United States, Theodore Blunt Blunt held positions in the Delaware legislature for 16 years, including eight as president of the city council and 16 as a Wilmington District Councilman. Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester’s father was him.

A standout performer in both basketball and soccer during his high school career, Blunt was named to All Public Teams his senior year and won the Markward Club’s Public League’s Most Valuable Player award in basketball.
Through his time and contributions, Blunt helped WSSU over the years. 2010 saw Blunt fully reimburse his alma mater for his four-year scholarship, in keeping with his emphasis on education and giving back.

In 2011, celebrating 50 years of marriage, Blunt and his high-school sweetheart, Alice LaTrelle (Jackson) renewed their wedding vows in the presence of their children and grandchildren.
