Theodore Blunt was an athlete, educator, and politician from the United States. Blunt’s political career in Delaware comprised 16 years as a Wilmington District Council member and eight years as the city council president. He is the father of Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester.

Blunt’s high school sports successes included making All Public Teams in both basketball and soccer, as well as being named the Markward Club’s Public League’s Most Valuable Player in Basketball his senior year.
Blunt has contributed both time and money to WSSU over the years. In 2010, Blunt fully returned to his alma mater for his four-year scholarship, keeping with his emphasis on education and giving back.
