The Icon of the Seas is a newer ship than the Utopia of the Seas. The Icon of the Seas is the first in a whole new class of ships by Royal Caribbean that’s designed to provide the “ultimate family vacation”.

It will start sailing in January 2024 and will be the largest cruise ship in the world when it debuts. The Utopia of the Seas was built in 2024 and will start sailing in July 2023. It will be the first Oasis-class ship to run on LNG, a cleaner burning fuel.

The second ship, Star of the Seas, is expected to be delivered in 2025. Royal Caribbean has revealed plans for a new ship called “Wonder of the Seas” which is expected to debut in 2025.

Icon of the Seas is owned by Royal Caribbean International, a global cruise vacation company that operates a fleet of 27 innovative ships.

The ship’s AquaDome neighborhood is an architectural marvel with a 55-foot-tall water curtain and 220° of ocean views. The $2 billion vessel is set to deliver unparalleled experiences and memories to its passengers later in January.
