Icon of the Seas has a crew of 2,350 and can accommodate up to 5,610 passengers at double occupancy or 7,600 passengers at maximum capacity. The ship has 20 decks, making it taller than the Eiffel Tower.

Icon of the Seas was built by Meyer Turku, Turku, Finland, and was launched on December 9, 2022. The ship was acquired on November 27, 2023, and is currently preparing for its maiden voyage.

The construction of Icon of the Seas took over 7 years to come to fruition. The keel laying ceremony for Icon of the Seas was held in April 2022, and the ship was launched in December 2022.

The ship’s AquaDome neighborhood is an architectural marvel with a 55-foot-tall water curtain and 220° of ocean views. The $2 billion vessel is set to deliver unparalleled experiences and memories to its passengers later in January.
Icon of the Seas is owned by Royal Caribbean International, a global cruise vacation company that operates a fleet of 27 innovative ships. The $2 billion vessel is the first in Royal Caribbean’s new Icon Class, with two more additions, Star of the Seas in 2025 and another in 2026, on the horizon.
