The union between Claire Chazal and Xavier Couture spanned from 2000 to 2003, a period during which their lives were intertwined not only personally but also professionally, given the nature of their respective careers.

Xavier Couture’s career is as diverse as it is accomplished. He began his journey in the sports domain, joining the renowned sports daily, L’Équipe, in 1975 as the head of advertising.

His association with the world of sports deepened as he became the public relations manager for Thierry Sabine, the founder of the Paris Dakar rally in 1972. This venture marked the beginning of Couture’s involvement in high-profile and international sporting events.

Not limited to the sports arena, Xavier Couture ventured into the literary world, showcasing his creativity with the publication of his novel “Coma” in 2002, which was well-received by literary enthusiasts. This foray into writing added another dimension to Couture’s already multifaceted career.

Venturing into the realm of communications, Couture’s company, Protocole, secured a significant win in April 2020 by obtaining the communications advice tender for the GIP #France23. This responsibility included organizing the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, showcasing Couture’s ability to navigate complex projects.

In February 2022, Xavier Couture assumed the role of president of the board of directors for the Théâtre du Châtelet. Simultaneously, he has been at the helm of the neighboring Théâtre de la Ville since 2018. This shift towards leadership in the theatre world emphasizes Couture’s adaptability and continued commitment to the cultural sphere.
