Who wrote the hidden figures script? Meet Allison Schroeder

Allison Schroeder, a Florida native immersed in the ambiance of NASA from childhood, co-authored the screenplay for “Hidden Figures” alongside Theodore Melfi.

The film, a tribute to the overlooked contributions of Black female mathematicians during the Space Race, earned Schroeder an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Her familial ties to NASA, with both grandparents working there, and a teenage internship at the agency, provided Schroeder with firsthand insights.
