For HARDY, the American country music singer and songwriter, 2022 brought a harrowing experience that tested not only his physical strength but also his mental resilience.
In October of that year, tragedy struck as HARDY’s tour bus was involved in a serious accident just outside of Nashville. The incident left the bus overturned, carrying four individuals, including HARDY himself, his tour manager, videographer, and driver.
Miraculously, despite the severity of the crash, all passengers survived, though not without enduring significant injuries. The aftermath of the accident cast a long shadow on HARDY’s life, affecting not just his physical well-being but also taking a toll on his mental health.

The challenges he faced in the wake of the crash became apparent when the artist made the difficult decision to cancel some of his shows in 2023. In a heartfelt and candid message to his fans, HARDY opened up about the struggles he had been facing since the tour bus accident.
The physical injuries sustained in the crash had given rise to serious anxiety, and over the preceding weeks, it had taken control of his life. The toll on his mental health manifested in debilitating panic attacks, necessitating hospital visits.
“I need to be honest with everyone for a second. I’ve been dealing with some serious anxiety since the bus accident last year, and over the last two weeks, it has taken control of my life. It’s caused me to suffer many panic attacks which have landed me in the hospital,”
HARDY wrote in his heartfelt statement. The artist bravely acknowledged the need to prioritize his mental health and take a step back from his professional commitments. He moved the rest of his shows to 2024.
