They had a happy marriage and often worked together on archaeological digs in the Middle East. Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE was educated at home by her mother.
Agatha Christie began writing detective fiction while working as a nurse during World War I. In 1955, Agatha Christie was the first recipient of the Mystery Writers of America’s Grand Master Award.
