Who is Morgan Geekie’s wife, Emma?

Morgan Geekie, the talented Canadian ice hockey centre currently making waves with the Boston Bruins, has not only showcased his skills on the ice but also shared a heartwarming love story with his wife, Emma.

On August 7, 2021, Morgan Geekie and Emma exchanged vows, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. The beautiful ceremony took place at the Oakland Estate, providing a picturesque backdrop for a love story rooted in their shared love for hockey and each other.

Emma, a native of Strathclair, Manitoba, shares not only a hometown with Morgan but also a deep connection to the sport that has been central to both their lives. The couple began their hockey journey together at the tender age of six, playing side by side as teammates on the Yellowhead teams in the atom and peewee hockey divisions until the age of 12.

While Morgan Geekie has made a name for himself on the professional hockey stage, Emma has carved her own path of success in the sport. An outstanding athlete and student, Emma’s contributions to the hockey world were evident during her time at the University of Regina.

In the 2017–18 season, she played 20 conference games for the university team, showcasing her skill and dedication on the ice. Emma’s achievements extended beyond the rink, earning her the distinction of being named an Academic All-Canadian.

Pursuing a nursing degree at the University of Regina, Emma dedicated three seasons to playing for the Yellowhead Chiefs AAA of the Manitoba Midget Hockey League. Her journey continued with participation in 26 Canada West games for the Cougars during the 2018–19 season, further solidifying her presence in the hockey community.

Emma Geekie’s commitment to the sport extended beyond university-level play. She lent her talents to the Assiniboine Community College of the American College Hockey Association Women’s Division II, demonstrating her passion for hockey at various levels of competition.
