Peter Strauss was born on February 20, 1947, in Croton-on-Hudson, New York, to Warren B. Strauss, a German-born wine importer, and his wife. He is of Jewish descent.

Peter Strauss is known for his roles in several television miniseries in the 1970s and 1980s, including Rich Man, Poor Man, and Kane & Abel. He is an Emmy winner and five-time Golden Globe Award nominee. He has also appeared in films such as The Jericho Mile, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone, and XXX: State of the Union.

Rachel Ticotin’s first big break came in 1981 when she was given a significant role as Isabella, Paul Newman’s love interest in the movie Fort Apache, The Bronx.

Rachel Ticotin was cast as Vangie Gonzalez Taylor in the second season of PBS’s television series American Family. Ticotin also appeared on television in season two of the ABC series Lost as Captain Teresa Cortez, mother of Ana Lucia Cortez.
