Born in Sorengo, Lugano, situated in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, Hunziker’s multicultural background is shaped by her Dutch mother, Ineke, and her father, Rudolf, a German-speaking Swiss.

Tragically, Rudolf passed away in 2001 due to a heart attack. Before entering the world of television and glamour, Rudolf pursued a career as a painter but later transitioned into hotel management.

The family’s journey took them to Ostermundigen, a suburb of Bern in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, in 1983. It was in Ostermundigen that Michelle attended elementary school, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.

In pursuit of her dreams, Michelle, along with her mother, later moved to Milan. There, she transitioned from a local girl with dreams to a prominent fashion model.

Riccardo Gay, an agent, recognized her potential, and at the age of 17, Michelle found herself posing for prestigious brands such as Armani, Rocco Barocco, La Perla, Colmar, Fuerte Ventura, Lovable, and Swish.
