While she proudly represents Brazil in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Lipski’s story is uniquely intertwined with her Polish heritage.

Born in Curitiba, Brazil, Lipski’s roots extend beyond the South American nation. Her connection to Poland lies in her family’s history, particularly through her grandfather, who made the journey to Brazil before the Second World War for security reasons.

Ariane Lipski’s early MMA career was marked by her active participation in the Brazilian and Polish circuits, notably under the Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW) promotion. It was in KSW that Lipski asserted her dominance, claiming the Women’s Flyweight Championship.

One of her memorable performances in KSW was against Sheila Gaff at KSW 36, where she secured victory via knockout in the first round. In her final appearance for KSW at KSW 42, Lipski faced Silvana Gómez Juárez and successfully defended her title, earning a unanimous decision.

These triumphs in KSW caught the attention of the UFC, leading to Lipski’s signing with the premier mixed martial arts organization. Her UFC debut took place on January 19, 2019, at UFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Dillashaw, where she faced Joanne Calderwood.

While the outcome of the fight didn’t swing in her favor, with Lipski experiencing a loss by unanimous decision, her journey in the UFC continued to unfold.
