When Braun declared his campaign for Poland’s presidency in 2015, his political career officially began. He established the “God Bless You!” campaign committee, although it only garnered a small portion of the vote.
He identifies with Polish ultranationalism and conservative Catholicism and holds anti-American, anti-Ukrainian, anti-Protestant, anti-LGBT, antisemitic, and pro-Russian views.
He said, “The people participating in the Satanic cult should be ashamed,” as he put out a Hanukkah menorah with a fire extinguisher on December 12, 2023, during the opening session of the 10th term of Sejm.
