Ryan O’Neal was an American actor and second husband of late actress Joanna Moore.

Born in Los Angeles, he initially honed his skills as an amateur boxer before making the pivotal transition to acting in 1960.
The turning point in O’Neal’s career came in 1964 when he secured the role of Rodney Harrington on the ABC nighttime soap opera Peyton Place.
Venturing into films, O’Neal showcased his acting prowess in a diverse array of roles, earning acclaim for his performances.
Notably, the romantic drama Love Story (1970) stands as a cornerstone in his filmography. His portrayal in the movie garnered him nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Actor and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama.

Joanna Moore and O’Neal, got married in 1963, and together they had two children. Their union had been turbulent, leading to a divorce in 1967.
O’Neal passed away on December 8, 2023, at age 82.
