The chemistry that sparked on screen quickly translated into a real-life romance, culminating in Whitaker’s proposal the following year. The couple sealed their commitment in a blissful ceremony in 1996 in the scenic Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Their union blessed them with two daughters who became the heartbeat of their family. True Whitaker, who shared the heartbreaking news of her mother’s passing on Instagram, and Sonnet Noel, who is now 27 years old, formed a tight-knit family unit with Forest and Keisha.
