Anthony Stolarz, despite his professional success, has not embraced fatherhood, as he does not have any children.
Stolarz’s hockey journey began in the New Jersey Devils organization, where he and his brother Todd honed their skills in junior ice hockey.
His passion for the sport led him to the University of Nebraska Omaha on a scholarship. However, after a brief stint with the Omaha Mavericks men’s ice hockey team, Anthony chose a different path, signing with the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.

The Philadelphia Flyers recognized Stolarz’s potential, selecting him in the second round, 45th overall, of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Two seasons with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, prepared him for his major league debut in 2016. Notably, this debut made him the first goaltender from New Jersey to play in the NHL.
Stolarz’s journey continued with both the Phantoms and the Flyers until 2019 when he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for goaltender Cam Talbot. After the conclusion of the 2019 season, Stolarz embraced free agency, signing a two-season contract with the Anaheim Ducks.
During the 2019–20 season, Stolarz primarily played with the Ducks’ AHL affiliate, the San Diego Gulls. Despite limited NHL appearances, his resilience and dedication to the sport remained unwavering. Stolarz returned to the Ducks in the 2021 season, marking a triumphant moment by securing his first NHL win in over two years on March 28, 2021.
