The culmination of these troubles reached a tragic zenith in May 2022, leading to her recent sentencing to seventeen years in prison on DUI and manslaughter-related charges.

On March 25th, 2022, at approximately 8:28 PM EST, Tammy Lynn Sytch, lacking a valid driver’s license, was driving south on U.S. 1 near Granada Boulevard. According to reports, she failed to stop as required and was allegedly speeding.

The consequences of this reckless driving became devastating when her car collided with the parked vehicle of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter. The collision resulted in the tragic death of Julian Lasseter, who, after being rushed to the hospital, succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.

Additionally, occupants of another vehicle involved suffered injuries to their necks, backs, sides, and heads, although they did not require hospitalization. The incident left a community mourning the loss of a life and grappling with the aftermath of the collision.

Tammy Lynn Sytch faced a slew of serious charges in the wake of the accident. The charges included DUI Manslaughter, Driving While License Suspended with Death, Four Counts of DUI with Damage to a Person, and Two Counts of DUI with Damage to Property.

In November 2023, the legal proceedings concluded with Tammy Lynn Sytch being sentenced to seventeen years in prison. The sentence, a result of the DUI and manslaughter-related charges stemming from the May 2022 incident, reflects the gravity of her actions and the irreversible consequences of that fateful night.
