The journey commenced in his hometown club, Liverpool, where Peltier made his professional debut in 2006. Loan spells with Hull City and Yeovil Town paved the way for a permanent move to Yeovil Town in 2008.

Subsequent moves took him to Leicester City, Leeds United (where he served as club captain), and Nottingham Forest before reuniting with Huddersfield Town.
In 2015, Peltier embraced a new challenge at Cardiff City, contributing to 163 appearances and aiding in the club’s promotion to the Premier League as Championship runners-up in the 2017–18 season.
Beyond the club scene, Peltier is a former England under-18 international, earning three caps in 2004.
