Was Mozart a Ginger?

There is no definitive answer to this question. There are no surviving portraits of Mozart that show his hair color, and his remains have never been exhumed for scientific study.

However, a lock of hair that is believed to have belonged to Mozart is preserved in a museum in Salzburg, Austria. The hair is dark reddish-brown in color, but it is not clear whether this was Mozart’s natural hair color or whether it was altered by the effects of time or preservation techniques.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born on January 27, 1756, in Mozart’s Birthplace, Salzburg, Austria. Mozart died on  December 5, 1791, at the age of 35 at Mozart’s death house, in Vienna, Austria.
