Mozart’s father, Leopold Mozart, was a successful composer, teacher, and violinist. While Leopold was very proud of his young son’s talents, Mozart was often frustrated by his father’s strict expectations and perfectionism.

Leopold was known to be a strict but nurturing parent who raised his son to be a musician. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s composition resulted in more than 800 works of virtually every genre of his time.

In Milan, Mozart wrote the opera Mitridate, re di Ponto (1770). From 1782 to 1785 Mozart mounted concerts with himself as a soloist, presenting three or four new piano concertos in each season.

In 1781, Mozart moved to Vienna, where he achieved great success as a composer and performer. Mozart’s music is known for its beauty, complexity, and emotional depth.

Mozart’s most famous works include the operas “The Marriage of Figaro” (1786), “Don Giovanni” (1787), and “The Magic Flute” (1791).

Mozart also composed many symphonies, including the “Jupiter Symphony” (1788), and chamber music, such as the “Eine kleine Nachtmusik” (1787).
