However, the narrative took a turn in May 2023 when Pilavachi faced suspension from ministry amid ongoing investigations into safeguarding concerns.

Stepping back from ministry the previous month, he found himself entangled in controversy.

The culmination occurred on July 11, 2023, when Pilavachi resigned as the Associate Pastor of Soul Survivor Church, Watford.
