John Oates Children: Meet Tanner Oates

John Oates, the celebrated American musician, and his wife, Aimee Oates, share a deep connection with their son, Tanner Oates, born in 1996.

In a unique approach to parenting, the Oates took their son on the road when John was touring, embarking on a musical adventure when Tanner was just five weeks old.

Homeschooling became an integral part of their lives, providing a flexible and personalized education for Tanner until the age of 13. The close-knit family spent extensive time together, allowing John to impart valuable life lessons to his son.

Later, he interned in Congress for a year, showcasing his dedication to civic engagement and public service. Currently residing in Arlington, Virginia, Tanner has carved out his path, guided by his analytical mindset.

Despite not seeing each other regularly, their bond remains unbreakable. The holidays provide an opportunity for the family to come together, creating cherished memories during their time spent in the mountains of Colorado.
