Following this, he served as the Vice President of product and engineering at Nextdoor from 2014 to 2018.
In 2019, Clancy assumed the role of President at Twitch Interactive, the parent company of the renowned live streaming platform, Twitch.
His ascent continued in 2023 when Clancy became the CEO of Twitch, succeeding Emmett Shear.
However, this transition came with challenges, as Clancy announced layoffs affecting 400 Twitch employees, part of a broader Amazon-wide restructuring impacting 9000 workers across the company.
