George Burns never remarried after the death of his wife, Gracie Allen, in 1964. He dated other women but never remarried. George Burns and Allen transitioned to radio in the 1930s and became one of the most popular radio shows of the time.

George Burns and Allen made their film debut in 1930 in “The Big Broadcast.” George Burns has three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: a motion pictures star at 1639 Vine Street, a television star at 6510 Hollywood Boulevard, and a live performance star at 6672 Hollywood Boulevard.

George Burns started his career in vaudeville, where he met his future wife and partner, Gracie Allen. They formed a comedy act and became a popular duo. George Burns and Allen transitioned to television in the 1950s with “The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show.”

George Burns is also a member of the Television Hall of Fame, where he and Gracie Allen were inducted in 1988. He is the subject of Rupert Holmes’s one-actor play Say Goodnight, Gracie.
