The union between Big Boi and Sherlita was solemnized on March 23, 2002, marking the beginning of a journey that included the joys of parenthood.
Their family expanded with the arrival of daughter Jordon on March 31, 1995, and son Cross on February 3, 2001.
However, the journey was not without its twists. In 2013, Sherlita initially filed for divorce, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage and seeking financial support and complete custody. Big Boi responded by requesting joint custody of their son Cross and asserting that Sherlita had the means to support herself.

Despite the challenges, the couple managed to reconcile in the following year, attributing their reunion to the strength of their faith. Big Boi, speaking to TMZ in 2014, credited “Jesus” for bringing the family back together, emphasizing the significance of shared prayers.
The resilience of their relationship faced another test in 2022, as Big Boi, born Antwan Patton, filed for divorce from Sherlita. The filing indicated that there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation,” and the couple had already been living separately.
Beyond her role in the spotlight, Sherlita Patton is a woman of substance and accomplishment. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University, she has established herself as a successful realtor in Atlanta.
An entrepreneur at heart, Sherlita co-owned the upscale boutique P Valentine in Atlanta, which opened its doors in 2007, leaving an indelible mark on the local fashion scene.
