Lewis Black, the brilliant stand-up comedian and actor, attended Springbrook High School in 1966. After high school, he applied to several prestigious colleges, including Yale, Princeton, Brown, Amherst, Williams, and Georgetown.

However, all except Georgetown rejected him. Lewis Black eventually chose to attend the University of Maryland, College Park for one year before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Lewis Black was born in Washington, D.C., United States of America. Black’s career in theater took off as a playwright. He wrote the musical “The Czar of Rock and Roll” in 1990.

In 2015, Lewis Black lent his voice to the character Anger in the Pixar film “Inside Out” and will reprise the role in the sequel, “Inside Out 2”. Lewis Black is also a spokesperson for the Aruba Tourism Authority, appearing in television ads.

Lewis Black has been an “ambassador for voting rights” for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) since 2013. When not touring, Black resides in Manhattan but also maintains a residence in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
