Joan Jett has two siblings: James Albert Larkin, her younger brother, born approximately 1.5 years after her, and Anne Elizabeth Larkin, her elder sister, born approximately 6 years before her.

Joan Jett has a mezzo-soprano vocal range. She has been described as “the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
With the Blackhearts, Joan Jett is known for her rendition of the song “I Love Rock ‘n Roll” which was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks in 1982.

At the age of 16, Joan Jett became a founding member of The Runaways, an all-female rock band. Alongside drummer Sandy West, they created the classic lineup. The band recorded and released the hit song “Cherry Bomb.”
Joan Jett portrayed Columbia in the Broadway production of “The Rocky Horror Show”. Joan Jett covered classics like “Crimson and Clover,” “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah),” and “Dirty Deeds.”
