In 2021, Hodges embarked on a new chapter, signing a three-year contract with the Ottawa Redblacks, marking his entry into the Canadian Football League (CFL).
However, the unexpected twist came in 2022 when the Redblacks announced Hodges’ retirement from professional football.

Before then, Hodges played college football at Samford, and high school football at Mortimer Jordan High School.

During his time in college, he became a three-time Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year and won the 2018 Walter Payton Award.
As a senior, he broke the NCAA FCS career record for passing completions (1,310) and attempts (1,896).
In 2019, the Pittsburgh Steelers recognized his potential, and signed him as an undrafted free agent.
After the Steelers, he had a stint the Los Angeles Rams, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in the competitive NFL environment.
Despite the brevity, Hodges left a mark on the field, boasting 1,063 passing yards, a commendable 62.5 completion percentage, and a solid 71.4 passer rating.
