Late Hollywood actor Taraja Ramesess was married to Lisa Ann Wilson, a photographer and filmmaker.

Lisa is known for her works on “The Last Black Man in San Francisco”, “The Hate U Give”, and “Queen & Slim”.

She is also the brain behind the Black Women Film Network.

Lisa and Ramesess had five children – Sundari, Kisasi, Shazia, Fujibo, and Zara.

Unfortunately, three of them had died with Ramesess in a car crash.

What Happened To Taraja Ramesess?

Taraja Ramsess had died in a car crash with three of his children, including an 8-week-old baby on October 31, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, at the age of 41.

Ramsess, known for his exceptional work in iconic films such as ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ met his untimely demise on a fateful Halloween night.

While driving a pickup truck on the Interstate in DeKalb County, Georgia, he had his five children with him.

The night took a tragic turn when he turned onto an exit ramp and collided with a tractor-trailer.

The accident proved fatal for Ramsess, who was declared deceased at the scene. Equally heartbreaking was the loss of two of his daughters, aged 13 and only 8 weeks old. Further compounding the tragedy, his 10-year-old son, who initially clung to life on life support, also succumbed to his injuries.

In the midst of this overwhelming grief, Ramsess’s mother, Akili, shared that two of her son’s daughters managed to survive the crash.

Their three-year-old child, Shazia, who sustained minor injuries, is currently on the path to recovery in a hospital.

Ramsess gained recognition for his roles in many Marvel blockbusters, including “Black Panther,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

His dedication to his craft also shone through in other projects such as “The Suicide Squad” and “Creed III,” where he left his creative mark.

Moreover, Ramsess extended his influence into the art department, primarily working as a set dresser, contributing his artistic vision to over 40 film projects.

His artistic touch could be seen in the meticulous details and aesthetics of various film sets.

In addition to his on-screen work, Taraja Ramsess found a home within Ava DuVernay’s production company, ARRAY.
