Joey Jordison was born on April 26, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa, to his proud parents, Steve and Jackie Jordison. Growing up, he had the company of two younger sisters, and together, they lived in a rural area just outside Waukee, where his love for music first took root.

Music was more than just a pastime for Joey; it was a calling that he embraced at a remarkably young age. He often credited his parents for introducing him to the world of music, recalling how they would sit him down in front of the radio, encouraging a lifelong love for sound.

At the age of eight, his parents presented him with a drum kit, marking the beginning of his journey as a drummer. He traded his guitar for drumsticks and never looked back, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that would later inspire countless aspiring musicians.
