Nelson Piquet Parents: Meet Estácio Gonçalves Souto Maior, Clotilde Piquet

Born on August 17, 1952, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Nelson Piquet was the son of Estácio Gonçalves Souto Maior, a distinguished Brazilian physician.

However, his father’s profession was not the only influential aspect of young Piquet’s life. In 1960, the family underwent a significant move when his father was appointed as the Minister for Health in the government of João Goulart.
