Vieira’s remarkable resume boasts titles such as four-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion, seven-time Abu Dhabi World Pro champion, two-time Pan American and European Champion, and ADCC Submission Grappling World Champion.
These accolades have rightfully earned him a reputation as one of the best heavyweight BJJ competitors of his generation.
In 2019, Vieira made the pivotal transition to MMA and entered the UFC, competing in the middleweight division.
One of the most memorable moments of Vieira’s UFC journey occurred on April 29, 2023, when he faced Cody Brundage at UFC on ESPN: Song vs. Simón. Vieira showcased his exceptional grappling skills by securing a submission victory in the second round.
His highly anticipated bout against Armen Petrosyan at UFC Fight Night 231 on November 4, 2023, was unfortunately canceled due to Petrosyan falling ill backstage during the event.
This turn of events left fans disappointed but undoubtedly eager to see Vieira return to the Octagon, where he continues to make waves in the MMA world.
